Educated on JAZZ!

... "By my man AHMET Ertegun, my friend!" Thus opens our show tonight, the words of a true friend to Mr. Ertegun, a man who carried him to his grave. Kid Rock, quoted in a jazz episode in Ahmet's House? Yes, that is how wide and high this house is. It serves as the inspiration and gateway for this evenings show. It is Bob's quote, but the first song title could easily apply to Atlantic's iconic founder as well. Enjoy!

Good times!

Cool Jazz, Hot Summer

Tonight in Ahmet’s House, we will try to cool off from the hazy hot and humid 100° we approached this week, as we present one of the great albums of Jazz. It’s Ornette Coleman tonight, The Shape of Jazz To Come.

No podcast tonight, so hope you enjoyed this special summer treat! We will be back with a new show next Sunday night!
