Istanbul Reflections...'Cause I Feel Like I Owe It...to Someone!

I am glad to share photos from my recent journey to Ahmet's homeland. I already cannot wait to return. Many thanks to the endless support from so many good peoples, for so many years, and special thanks to Cigedm Aksut, Melis Doga, and Volkan Aslan of Istanbul, Turkiye, IBB Culture Department.

To Enter the Hagia Sophia is breathtaking!

A space of beauty and antiquity

Speechless!

The details of ceilings 200 feet overhead

Two-hundred ancient columns holding the roof of the Cistern. A brilliant Roman Empire invention!
Treasures of ancient Greece, relocated to Istanbul to serve an underwater fate through the centuries!

A City Square

 The Great Ataturk!
Extending a hand of peace, and hope, to the new Republic!

You quickly find out why Istanbul is the City of Cats...

                                                                                   And Food!

A Home of  the Sultans of Constantinople!

 A solemn and quiet place

This moment, this day...unbelievable!
